Spent two and a half weeks wandering around Europe, specifically Munich, Stuttgart, Paris, Cologne, and Amsterdam. Long trip, probably a little too long to be completely honest. Had a hell of a good time while also getting to the point where I was very keen on having the trip over and done with.
Just going to hit the highlights for each place.
Munich
- Beautiful city, low key vibe, want to visit again!
- BMW Museum & BMW World were amazing museums.
- The Hunting Museum in Old Town was surprisingly cool.
- Gorgeous parks, walking, and urban hiking.
Stuttgart
- A bit less chill, busier than Munich, but just as beautiful when you're not in the middle of the construction fuckery near the central station.
- The parks and city are quire walkable, there's a lot more that I want to explore here.
- Didn't give ourselves enough time, two days was not nearly enough.
- Porsche Museum was great, still need to see the Mercedes Museum.
- WANT TO VISIT AGAIN!
Paris
- Super Not Chill but beautiful in its own way.
- All of the standard attractions (The Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, etc.) were mobbed by tourists and not worth standing in line for. Book express tickets early if you're interested in doing these things or your life will suck. We skipped them beyond standing around and saying, "Hey, that's that thing!"
- The food was amazeballs, probably the number one reason to come to Paris.
- Super walkable.
- I want to visit again, but I want to be more planned out before doing so. Less desire to revisit than all of Germany.
Cologne
- NEED TO VISIT AGAIN! Didn't give Cologne enough time and it was a surprising treasure.
- MotorWorld was a great happy accident.
- Parrots of the Rhine!
- Super Walkable.
Amsterdam
- I don't need to visit Amsterdam again.
